What's new in the latest helloPOLY release

The latest version of helloPOLY brings a set of updates built around three ideas. More control over your privacy, a profile with more room to reflect who you are, and richer ways to talk to the people you meet. Here is what has changed.

More control over your privacy

Discretion matters, so this release gives you more say over who sees you and what they can do with what they see.

Screenshot protection helps keep what is on your screen private, making it harder for others to capture and pass around what you share inside the app.

Incognito mode lets you browse without others seeing you. You can look around quietly, take your time, and decide when you want to be visible.

A profile with more room to be specific

We have expanded the range of profile options so your profile can say more about what you are actually into. Alongside the existing fields, you can now add detail across areas like:

  • Kink and BDSM roles and positions
  • The communities and scenes you are interested in
  • Group dynamics that appeal to you
  • Bondage and sensation
  • Rope styles
  • Sensual and intimacy preferences

None of this is a form you have to complete. Add what feels right, leave what does not, and update it whenever your interests shift. These fields are a way to describe what draws you, not a script for what happens next. What actually happens between people is something worked out together, with consent and care at the centre. Think of your profile as a starting point, not a rulebook.

Voice notes in messaging

You can now send voice notes in your messages. Tone, warmth, and the small pauses that text tends to flatten all come through more easily when people can hear each other. It is a simple way to make a conversation feel a little more real before you meet.

A community hub for more than dating

helloPOLY has always been about more than matching. The new community hub is a space to join interest groups, see and post events, and take part in forum conversations. It is somewhere to belong to the scenes you care about, whether or not dating is what brought you in.

This is only a first look. We will go deeper on the community hub, and everything it can do, in a dedicated post soon.

Getting the update

Update helloPOLY to the latest version to see everything above. If your app updates automatically, you may already have it.

Your people are already here.

Say hello.
